Bio
Born May of 1994, Max Reinhard is a painter and illustrator, whose focus is on both academic painting and surreal/fantasy art. Reinhard’s work explores the complexity of human nature, expressed through fantastical themes in conjunction with plants, animals, and insects. Reinhard typically paints using different applications of gouache– from graphic and illustrative, to a more realistic approach. Reinhard completed his BFA with honors at Montserrat College of Art in May, 2018. He currently works full time as a creative in the digital print industry, and fills his spare time as a private art tutor, portrait painter, and live wedding painter. He has previously volunteered with New Urban Arts as an Artist Mentor to high school youth. He was selected as an artist in 826DCs children's book This Time They Hear You (2019) to illustrate two short stories. Edible and Poisonous, Reinhard's first solo exhibition consisting of over thirty original works, went on display in spring of 2019 at the Flanagan Campus Art Gallery. Reinhard's painting Tundra received an Honorable Mention at Anything Goes, Warwick Center for the Arts, January 2020. He currently lives in Pawtucket, RI with his wife, and their two cats. |
